Mid year in the life of SMPS presidency

It seems just days ago that I was in the Presidents Leadership Forum, arranging travel and then meeting so many new people, receiving intense training and making connections.  All these great ideas I brought back to our chapter. I can't believe it is now mid way through my term as president.  Yes there was angst at the begining, I remember being approached to serve as President elect a year ago.  Now it seem that everything is going smoothly and soon it will be our current president-elect's term as he get's ready to attend PLS in a few short months.  I like the idea of the "Chapter Champion" ours is Tom Smith and he has been helpfull attending our intial strategy and planning session and reaching out to meet our board members a few weeks ago at a local SMPS Pacific Regional Confererence. Being a president has been both rewarding and challenging and I'm honored to be part of this group.  I've especially enjoyed being part of our chapter growth.

By far, this has been the most rewarding and educating experience of my professional career. It can only go up from here!
