Debra K. Osuch, REM, Marketing Manager at SME. I lead SME's Marketing team, which supports over 300 team members in 12 offices throughout Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. I develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives. I lead brand management, market research, and marketing communications including advertising, promotions and public relations. I am responsible for directing our content-based marketing approach and leveraging thought leadership to answer the toughest questions on the minds of our clients and prospects.
I hold a B.S. degree in Medical Physics from Oakland University and a M.S. degree in Hazardous Waste Management from Wayne State University, and I am a Registered Environmental Manager. In addition to marketing responsibilities, I help owners, facilities managers and members of the design and construction community who are concerned about the risks associated with acquiring, developing, constructing and maintaining buildings and infrastructure. I specialize in environmental due diligence for acquisition of commercial real estate.
I have been honored by Crain’s Detroit Business as a “40 Under 40” award recipient and was recognized by Business Direct Weekly as one of the “Most Influential Women of 2004.” I have been recognized as an Athena Award Finalist by the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce and was a recipient of the 2004 Industry Achievement Award from Wayne State University’s College of Engineering.
Currently, I serve on the Commercial Real Estate Women’s Detroit chapter (CREW Detroit) Past Presidents Council.
I absolutely love cycling, kickboxing, anything outdoors, travel, wine, reading, and spending time with my friends and family. I'd be lying if added "running" after the word "love," but I like it sometimes and I'm currently training for my next half marathon.
